What is Pengy.ORG?
I designed this web site as a place for me to express my ideas and share my thoughts with others. I do so using this new thing called words. Using these word thingies, I create something called communication. Thus, this site is used to communicate: from me to you. I do not own the copyright to the individual words used on these pages though the music industry may lay claim to them. I do, however, own the copyright to the particular arrangement of these words. They reflect no one else on the earth or any other planet. I represent no person, place, or thing other than myself. No verbs were harmed in the making of this web site. Prepositions will not be dangled.
This site is evil-doer free! (as indicated by the official looking logo on the right of the screen). It used to be patrolled by one old hound dog named Hobbes but he is no longer with us. Now, a fierce puppy named Austin keeps evil-doers from placing weapons of mass destruction on this site by chewing it up. After destroying Hobbes brilliant "Don't allow evil-doers to place weapons of mass destruction on this website" Javascript, he promptly ate the HTML files. Right now, he chewing up the CSS. Hopefully, I'll be able to train him like I did Hobbes to be ever vigilant at keeping the evil-doers at bay. Why? Because this site must remain evil-doer free. Otherwise, I'll have to remove the logo.
This web site was designed using XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.0. Since that probably means nothing to you, let me fill you in on the importance of these web standards. Soon, most, if not all, websites will use these standards (and CSS 3.0). This means you will need a modern browser to view this and many other sites. Firefox, Opera, and Internet Explorer 5.0 and up on Windows and Safari on the Macintosh are browsers that support these standards. I'm not trying to be a browser bigot but I simply have no time or desire to support every possible browser. There comes a point in time when one must find some explosive to bite and upgrade to a newer version or product. If you have an older browser (such as Netscape 4.x), well, good luck to you with that. Pengy.ORG will not be displayed in any manner that will avail itself to your understanding. Of course, if you have that older browser, you can't read this information regarding the use of older browsers. Thus, we have created a newly hatched chicken and egg problem.
Oh, well.
This site is, and always will be, under construction. Thus, it will never be finished. As such, the changing of this site will be infinite. You can now tell your Physics professor that you have seen the face of infinity and it's really not so hot.
